Schedule Attendance Sessions for an Entire Semester: Available Now for Qwickly Attendance Plus and Qwickly Attendance Pro

January 14, 2021

Qwickly is excited to launch Attendance Session Scheduling, which has been a widely requested feature among clients. Clients with a license of Qwickly Attendance Plus or Qwickly Attendance Pro can now allow instructors to bulk create scheduled Attendance sessions by inputting their course schedule.

Typically, instructors create an attendance session when they take attendance for a class. This new feature enables instructors to schedule attendance sessions for an entire semester before classes start, providing:

  • Instructors a roadmap of all sessions throughout the semester
  • Assistance to instructors in identifying sessions where attendance may have been forgotten
  • The ability for instructors to mark a student excused far in advance

To schedule an Attendance session, instructors input the start and end date for their courses (or the first and last date of the semester), as well as the days of the week when they meet. Once an Attendance session has been scheduled, it will appear in the Attendance Record and will be immediately available for an instructor to use to track attendance.

The System Administrator must turn on the Attendance Session Scheduling feature using the Attendance Settings page under Qwickly Attendance System Settings. The System Administrator also has the option to allow instructors to be able to delete scheduled Attendance sessions. Scheduled Attendance sessions can be deleted in bulk, excluding sessions where attendance has already been recorded.

Qwickly Attendance Classic clients who are interested in utilizing the new Attendance Session Scheduling feature should contact their Qwickly Sales Representative to start a free pilot of Qwickly Attendance Plus or Qwickly Attendance Pro.
