In such a technology driven world, it’s extremely beneficial for instructors to give students the ability check-in to class using their mobile devices. Qwickly was built on the goal to make attendance taking more efficient and easier on instructors and what better way to accomplish this task than to allow students to check into class with a few clicks on their phone?

What are the benefits to using the Qwickly Attendnace Mobile App?

Using the app gives instructors the ability to require students to scan a QR code in order to check in for a course. Even though use of the QR code is the most reliable way to make sure your students aren't cheating, use of the QR code is optional. They can also choose to require a PIN or nothing at all. QR scanning has been one of our most requested features with the code changing every few seconds to prevent students from sharing the code with classmates who are in fact not attending.

The app is available for iOS and Android and currently integrates with Blackboard, Canvas, and D2L Brightspace. This first iteration of the app allows students to check in for courses that use check in mode, and it allows them to view their attendance record in a given course. 

There is also an option to increase the size of the QR code, which may be helpful if you are displaying this on something like a projector screen. You can click the same button to reduce the size back again.
